ALGHERO - After the start of the connections to Milan Malpensa and Venice (easyJet) and Stuttgart (Lauda Motion), flights to Bratislava (operating on Tuesdays and Saturdays) start today, while London Stansted leaves with three flights a week on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, plus the new Berlin Tegel (Tuesday and Friday). Alghero airport will be connected in summer 2019 with 50 destinations (scheduled and charter) served by 18 airlines that, in addition to the domestic market, will connect the airport with the following international markets: Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany , England, Norway, Holland, Poland, Slovak Republic, Romania, Serbia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Hungary.

The increase in routes is also made possible by the strengthening of the charter sector, with the introduction of new connections with France (Paris, Bordeaux and Lyon), the Slovak Republic (Bratislava) and Spain (Zaragoza).

The details of the destinations currently planned at the Alghero airport for the Summer 2019, broken down by airline, are as follows.

Ryanair will fly to Berlin (new destination), Bratislava, Brussels, Frankfurt, Munich and London, destinations that join the annual domestic routes to Bergamo, Bologna and Pisa;

EasyJet strengthens its presence at Alghero airport by opening a new connection for Basel and confirming international destinations to Berlin, London (annual) and Geneva, as well as national destinations for Milan Malpensa, Naples and Venice;

Wizz Air, low-cost carrier leader in eastern and central Europe, confirms all of the connections for Bucharest (annual), Budapest, Katowice and Warsaw;

Volotea confirms the national connections with Genoa, Naples, Venice and Verona, as well as the international connection with Madrid;

Lauda Motion, the airport's new commercial partner, will connect the airport with the new Stuttgart destination;

Vueling confirms and strengthens the connection with Barcelona El Prat;

Blue Air confirms the operation on Turin;

Alitalia, also following the awarding of the new Territorial Continuity, will make connections with Milan Linate and Rome Fiumicino;

Air Europa, new entry for the airport, will operate the direct connection with Madrid and will allow numerous connections also to Latin America;

Corendon Airlines confirms the connections with the Netherlands and, in particular, with Amsterdam and Maastricht (mixed charter and line connections).
