Cyrus Summerlin and Max Hellerstein, who previously created the Push for Pizza app (which allowed users to order a pizza by pressing a button), are launching their new start-up today, Down to Shop, officially. The app bills itself as both a modern QVC reinvention and a "funny way to shop." It enables users to watch funny videos featuring products that can be purchased directly from the app.

In an email, Hellerstein said that from dissatisfaction with existing advertising and e-commerce, the pair created Down to Shop. Summerlin described it as "a platform for hypermedia trade."
